Households
Menu Customers and sales → Households.
A household groups several customers from the same family or group (e.g. parents + children).
Visible if the Households feature is enabled for the store.
Household composition (same level + children)
Within a household, members can be organised as a tree:
| Situation | Example |
|---|---|
| Same level | 2 adults (e.g. two parents) side by side, without one being “under” the other |
| Parent / child link | 3 children linked under one parent (or guardian) in the same household |
So in the same household you can have: several adults at the same level, and children under a chosen parent.
A customer belongs to only one household.
Reorder by drag and drop
On the household record, the member tree is drag and drop:
- change the display order of members;
- move a member to attach them under another parent (or put them back at the same level), according to store rules.
This helps match family reality and keep the record readable for the team.
One email address for several customers
The household lets you use the same email address for several customers, provided they belong to the same household (e.g. a parent and children who share the family email).
| Case | EliaFlow behaviour |
|---|---|
| Same email (or close identity) in the same household | Accepted / not treated as duplicates among these members |
| Same email (or duplicate criteria) outside the same household | The system treats them as potential duplicates — handle in Potential duplicates (customers) |
In other words: the household is how you say “these are distinct people who intentionally share a contact”; without a shared household, EliaFlow flags a risk of duplicate records.

Day-to-day use
- Quickly find the whole family / group
- Organise parent(s) and children
- Share a family email without a duplicate alert
- Shared context (depending on your use: address, notes, etc.)
Success criteria
- I create a household with 2 adults at the same level and children under a parent.
- I reorder members by drag and drop.
- Two customers in the same household can share an email without appearing as duplicates of each other.
- The same email outside a shared household correctly appears in potential duplicates.
- From a customer record, I see the linked household.
