Tips

Menu Statistics → Tip statistics.

Dedicated report on tips entered on invoices: who (staff) is entitled to which amount, on which invoice, and for which period.

It is worthwhile to consult (and export) this page regularly: each tip is attached to the invoice staff (tip_staff). You clearly see which employee should receive which tip, without rebuilding totals by hand — useful for payroll, team sharing, or a check before a partner invoice that includes tips.

Prerequisites: Statistics module (+ invoices), tip stats permission. Read-only.

See also: KPI indicators (aggregated tips view in Billing), Customer statistics, and Statistics.

Why it is useful

Need What the page provides
Tip entitlement Staff column = the staff to whom the tip is attributed on the invoice
Amount due Tip column (+ total at the bottom of the column)
Context Date, invoice number, client, status (paid / unpaid…)
Period Stats report date filters (like other statistics pages)
Export Excel / PDF for accounting or the team

Without staff set on the invoice (or without tip > 0), the line does not appear here: for reliable tracking, always assign staff at billing when a tip is expected.

Cards and charts (header)

Over the filtered period:

Indicator / chart Reading
Total tips Sum of tips
Invoices with tip Number of invoices concerned
Average tip Average per tipped invoice
Top staff Employee who received the most tips (amount)
Top 5 staff Ranking of the 5 largest tip totals
Tip trend Day-by-day curve over the period

Typical base: invoices with tip > 0 and tip staff set; aggregates by invoice date and active filters.

Detailed table

Each row = an invoice with an attributed tip:

Column Content
Staff Staff who is entitled to this tip
Date Invoice date
Invoice Number
Client Link to the client record (if present)
Status Paid, created (unpaid), refunded, cancelled…
Tip Tip amount (sum at the bottom of the list)
Total Invoice total (with certificate logic if applicable)

Actions:

  • View the invoice (document preview) ;
  • Staff, Status, store (Master) filters ;
  • Excel / PDF exports (all or selection).

Best practices

  1. At the till: choose the invoice staff → the tip is linked to them automatically.
  2. At period end: open Tip statistics, filter period / staff, check amounts.
  3. Export if needed for distribution or archiving.
  4. Fix an attribution error on the invoice itself; the report updates afterwards.

Success criteria

  • I know the tip is linked to the invoice staff.
  • I filter a period and see who received how much.
  • A test tip with staff appears in the table and totals.
  • I export Excel or PDF if needed.
